Cacao And Banana Booster
This delicious smoothie is simple, and requires minimum of ingredients. Whenever I am in a chocolate mood, and crave something cool and creamy, this is my to-go-to smoothie.
You’ll need:
1 banana ( if you like a thick cold smoothie, use frozen banana)
1.5 cups if organic milk or coconut milk or any other milk you like
2 Â tablespoon cacao powder
Vanilla essence to taste (optional) or 1 big tablespoon peanut butter
Blend everything and enjoy! Sprinkle with nuts, sliced banana or chocolate.
Health Benefits Of Cacao Powder:
In Ayurveda, cacao powder is valued not only for its nutritional content, like magnesium and calcium, but also as an energizing mood booster.
It has a warm element and well suited for the colder months. Cacao can also help uplift the mind and support emotional balance due to its effect on serotonin levels.
It has a grounding effect on Vata dosha/vata types or people with a Vata imbalance but also great for Kapha to stimulate the heavy moods in Kapha types. For Pitta types, cacao is best to be consumed in moderation due to it’s high heat qualities.
Banana Boost
In Ayurveda, bananas are considered a cooling food, but also a very soothing food for all dosha types. However, if you have tendencies to mucus build up, sinus issues and frequent colds, it’s best to avoid bananas. You could enjoy the smoothie without banana and instead add avocado.
